At Energy Smart Consultancy Ltd, we believe in being open and transparent about how we earn our income. Depending on the service provided, we may be paid in one of two ways:
When we arrange an energy contract for you, we may receive a commission from the energy supplier. This commission is included in the unit rate you pay for energy — it does not increase your overall cost, as it is built into the supplier’s standard pricing.
Example:
If your business uses 50,000 kWh of electricity per year, and our commission is 0.5 pence per kWh, then over a 12-month period our commission would total:
50,000 kWh × 0.005 (£/kWh) = £250
This amount is spread across the term of your contract, and we receive it directly from the supplier. If you remain with the supplier in subsequent years, we may continue to receive the same commission annually.

Whether we are paid by commission or by fees, our advice is always independent, impartial, and focused on securing the best outcome for your business. We will clearly confirm which arrangement applies before beginning any work, so you have full clarity and peace of mind.
The group purchasing program gives individual clients improved purchasing power. This enables them to receive a better wholesale market price for their energy while also receiving a wider range of terms and services from the supplier.
